Uneducated TV Britain’s BBC Television, working on a documentary about Jamaican reggae legend Bob Marley, sent a request to the Bob Marley Foundation asking for an interview with the musician. They expressed hope he would be “spending one or two days with us,” and a substitute wouldn’t do: “It would only work with some participation from Bob Marley himself.” A BBC spokesman said the broadcaster was “very embarrassed” to learn that Marley died in 1981.
